Oregon Medical Group is proud to announce our first special management clinic – the Anticoagulation Clinic. The Anticoagulation Clinic is for patient who are taking Coumadin (warfarin sodium), a medicine that slows blood clotting.
Our goal is to closely monitor your blood levels (protime) so we can decrease your risk of blood clots and reduce the change of bleeding (which is a side effect of Coumadin). In addition, we will be providing education to assist you in understanding the reasons for Coumatrin therapy, and ways in which you can help reduce the risks to yourself while taking this medication. By working together, we hope to achieve the end results of a safer but desirable lifestyle for you.
