Blake Sampson, MD
Dr. Sampson earned a medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed residency training at the University of Utah Department of Dermatology and fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Oncology and Cosmetic Dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University. He is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Sampson’s areas of interest include Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstruction, cosmetic and procedural dermatology, high risk skin cancer, skin cancer prevention, and public health and policy. With the Mohs surgery technique, Dr. Sampson can precisely identify and remove the entire tumor while leaving the surrounding healthy tissue intact and unharmed. This surgery offers the highest potential for cure and the best possible functional and cosmetic outcomes. He is also trained in a variety of cosmetic techniques and procedures including laser surgery, injectable fillers and Botox, non-invasive fat augmentation, and eyelid rejuvenation surgery, among others.
Dr. Sampson is married with two children and is passionate about being a partner, parent, and surgeon. When he’s not seeing patients at Gateway Medical Center he enjoys spending time outdoors snowboarding, skiing, hiking, biking, adVANturing, traveling, and is considered a connoisseur of Impossible Burgers.
