Christopher F. Stanke, MD
Dr. Stanke earned a medical degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus and completed residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, and is board-certified in internal medicine. He completed fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee and is board-eligible in gastroenterology.
Dr. Stanke’s areas of interest include acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, GI bleeding, iron deficiency anemia, Barrett esophagus, colorectal cancer screening/surveillance, complex polypectomy, inflammatory bowel diseases, celiac disease, and general gastroenterology.
When he’s not seeing patients at Gateway Medical Center, you can find Dr. Stanke playing basketball, tennis, cycling, running, or hiking. He also enjoys watching college basketball and college football, and all things having to do with the University of Wisconsin Badgers. He also plays several card games and board games to pass the time with friends. He greatly enjoys cooking delicious food and grilling in the backyard. He enjoys travelling around Oregon in the summer, and travelling to tropical destinations in the winter. You could also find him walking his dog, Bucky, along the river paths, Ridgeline trails or hiking trails in the area.
