Nicholas Tedesco, DO
Dr. NicholasTedesco joined Oregon Medical Group in February of 2016.
Dr. Tedesco earned his medical degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed a residency at Affinity Medical Center in orthopedic surgery and a fellowship in orthopedic oncology at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Tedesco specializes in the care of both pediatric and adult patients with any musculoskeletal tumor (benign or malignant), complex orthopedic problems (e.g. infection, failed joint replacement, avascular necrosis, end-stage arthritis, metabolic bone disease, periprosthetic fractures) and the long-term follow-up care of patients afflicted by these conditions.
Dr. Tedesco has a special interest in reconstructive methods. He provides his patients with the most advanced care options including computer-assisted total knee arthroplasty and direct anterior (minimally invasive) total hip arthroplasty. Computer-assisted total knee replacement can offer the possibility of improved alignment, lower risk of revision surgery and greater longevity of the new knee. Direct anterior hip replacement does not cut any muscles to expose the hip joint like more traditional methods do. This enables better early function and pain control, which accelerates recovery. This enables his patients to have a faster return to work and the activities they love.
In his personal time, Dr. Tedesco enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, woodworking, exercising and the great outdoors.
