David earned a bachelor's degree from Wartburg College and a doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). His special interests include concussion, exercise prescription, vertigo, running, manual therapy, orthopedic, and sports rehabilitation.

When he's not seeing patients at Southtowne Medical Clinic he enjoys spending time hiking, fly fishing, training for triathlons, and soccer, where he serves as a coach for the Eugene Timbers FC.
