MyChart and Your Medical Record

We're coming close to signing up nearly 30 percent of our patients to our new patient portal, MyChart, and so far, we're receiving lots of great reviews. The favorite feature so far is that MyChart is much easier to use and view on a mobile device.

We are receiving questions about access to past medical records using MyChart. MyChart will give you access to the last three years of your Oregon Medical Group medical records as soon as you have seen a provider with MyChart in place. If you have not seen a provider since the new system was implemented on February 1, 2022, you will not see your medical records. However, they are in our system and your clinician has access to them for your care.

To access the records from before February 1, you can save or print your entire record from your old patient portal (My ezAccess) by following these steps:

Log onto the ezAccess patient portal:

  1. From the left navigation: Select Documents

  2. For each patient you have access to: Select the Patient Name in the Patient selection box

    • At the top of the page: Select View Medical Information

    • Select the “eye” icon on the far right side of the view

    • Medical Data: Default is Include All, Select View

    • Message displays: Processing request…

    • The CONTINUITY OF CARE DOCUMENT will display

    • Select Download - HTML

You will be able to access your medical record in the old portal (My ezAccess) until April 29, but you will need to sign-up for MyChart to continue to access your medical information beginning April 30. Sign-up is easy and can be done anytime by clicking here.

The bottom line? Your medical records still exist and will remain in our system. Your provider can see them for your care. You will be able to request them at any time in the future. Any visits from February 1, 2022 will appear in MyChart.
