Required Vaccines for School: Cut-Off is Feb. 15

Elementary School Kids

The State of Oregon requires that schoolchildren be vaccinated against a number of vaccine-preventable, transmittable diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and Hib.

This year, the final date to provide proof of vaccination is February 15. This is most relevant for families with Kindergarteners, for those who are new to the system, and for some key age groups where a dose was required. For a complete list of ages, grades and vaccine types, download this PDF from Oregon Health Authority.
